Its Tight At The Top

Going into the the Xmas break its all to play for in Divisions 1 and 2. 

Only five points separate the top three teams in Division One which is providing an extremely strong playing standard this season. Horsham B and Foresters F share the top spot on 91 points apiece with Crawley Community C only five behind.

Jacob Evans 89%, Harry Yip 85% and Juan Munoz Lopez 84% have been the main players for Horsham B so far and their hopes for the Title rest on these three turning out regularly in the New Year.  

The recent clash between the Huts F team and Crawley Comm C included three former top Sussex County Players, Johnny Clarke 85%, Gerry Pugh 88% for Foresters plus Andy Meads 82% for Community. The match fittingly ended all square with Braces for Johnny, Gerry and Andy. Graham Green overcame Johnny 11-8, 11-9, 11-6 whilst Andy took out Gerry in Four. Richard Steel chalked up Foresters fifth point defeating Sai Man Yau 12-10 in the final set, Andy and Graham took the doubles over Gerry and Johnny for the draw in what all agreed was an enjoyable hard fought fixture.

In Division Two its a straight fight between Crawley Community E and Crawley Sports A.

Comm E take a six point lead into the New Year with their five man squad, Aivars Vugulis 100% Philip Digby 86% Mina Mata 85% Peter Cracknell 84% and Gary Jackson 58%. Its John Lee 90% Geoff Brown 85% and Bob Watson 73%  most weeks for Sports so Community can still expect a strong challenge for top spot.
