Carter Cup Crawley and Horsham Through To The Finals
Carter Cup - Crawley & Horsham go through as winners of Zone 3
Crawley & Horsham League Juniors Josh Bennett and George Hazell began the defence of our National title - as holders of the English Local Leagues Carter Cup - yesterday.

Competing at Holy Trinity School one of the league's two home venues against  Bournemouth, Brighton, Haywards Heath and Wembley & Harrow leagues they won all matches 5-0 providing a strong statement of intent for the finals.

Going through as runners up are the Wembley and Harrow team who only dropped the one match ( against our Crawley & Horsham team). The other leagues all won one match each with two of the three other teams having some strong Sussex players competing.
George Hazell said "We want to do the league proud, I started in division two of this league and worked my way up  ..  it has helped my game a lot. Everyone is very supportive"  Josh who joined the Premier league two season ago said "It's a great league, good quality games and very sociable, we enjoy playing in it and hope to bring the cup back again to Crawley & Horsham"

With James Smith another top Junior sat on the reserves bench our team is certainly strong. Hopes are high and fingers are crossed for a good result at the National Final on the 18th of  June.

They will be joined at the Finals by our girls Kate Cheer and Alice Hazell who automatically qualified straight through to the Nationals.
