Mayur Majithia aka The Magician was making his seasons debut for Crawley Community A but just failed to pull The Rabbit Out Of The Hat in his first trick, going down 5-11,12-10,11-8,15-17,13-11 to the up and coming Blades lad Ryszard Pelc. All well for Mayur after that though with victories over Graham Carter & Michael Bridger. Paul Carter was also extended to five by Ryszard but finished with another maximum. Good wins for Graham & Michael over Phil Richardson.

It was tough for Foresters A when the The Sheriff, Adam Laws showed up. A strong Spinners line up that also included Marc Burman and Rory Scott proved too strong this time. Dan Pound was playing very well but came away with zero going down close in five to Adam and Rory. Mark Collins and Lewis Mayhew both beat Rory and took ends from Adam but Marc Burman was The Star Man on the night putting on a classy display as Spinners did the double over last years champions.
