Bristowe hits the treble for Copthorne

Gary Bristowe scored an impressive maximum against Horsham Spinners including a fine win over Will Michell,he also beat Alan Stone and Rory Scott.Stuart Brooks went down close in five to Will and Alan.Copthorne need to convert some of these regular tight losses into wins as they could prove costly at the end of the season.Next up are Crawley Sports A who are almost certain to play Robinson J. next week.6-3 to Spinners.

Former Sussex number one and Supermum Teresa Bennett finally got fed up sitting out watching boring matches and decided to play herself versus Foresters D,she enjoyed a five set win against Gerry Pugh and only went down deuce in the fifth to young Luke Gallagher.Steve Barby won three in straight games and Adam Daley and Luke both won two to give Foresters the 5-4 win.  

Isabelle Joubeilly proved she is a top quality Premier player with another maximum in her second match of the season defeatingSimon Knivett,Graham Beaney and Sally Henke all in four games,7-2 to Blades C.  

Foresters B made up ground on Crawley Community A in the battle for third spot reducing the gap to four points with a surprisingly easy thumping of Crawley Community B,No matches went the distance with James Wheatley,Tony Steel and Tim Surrey all beating Graham Faulkner,Graham Green and Sai Man Yau. 

Man of the match Martin Gunn aided by two more than useful assistants Josh Bennett and George Hazell slaughtered Horsham A 9-0,all games were three straight.Good one for Digger to miss.

Foresters A beat their E team 8-1 with Rebecca George talking Craig Bryant into losing his first end of the season,she also had a very good victory over Dan Pound three straight.Alice Hazell pushed Dan to five and Mark Collins took full advantage winning all his games and picking up the Man of the Match award.

With Richardson beginning his endless round of drinks parties Robin Stace stepped in for his first match of the season putting up a great fight against Phil Nicholls before going down in five.Phil played brilliantly against Barrie Gilbert only losing narrowly in five to a very relieved opponent,Barrie came out in another tight one against old pal Bonzo after he missed a couple of big forehands at 9-9 in the fifth.Despite losing his bat last week Paul Carter  was so pleased to be reunited with it that he performed at a much higher level than in some earlier efforts.5-4 to Crawley Community A.

Blades A have now hit 100 points 13 clear of Foresters A.Copthorne A are at the foot 4 points behind Crawley Sports with a massive game next week between the two.
