13 year old Charlie opens his premier account with a fine victory

Charlie Graham Adams comes from a sporting family,his father Eddie was an accomplished footballer way back in the last century in the sixties and seventies.Charlie scored an excellent victory 12-10 11-8 11-4 over experienced James Wheatley,he also pushed Rebecca George ranked 41 in England to 8-11 in the decider.Marc Burman edged out Rebecca deuce in the fifth and won his other two against James and Kate Cheer.Rory Scott won his three coming from two games down against James.Horsham Spinners 7 Foresters E 2.

Crawley Community A are resembling Dads Army more with every week that passes,Private Carter(Knee)won his three complaining all the way,Sergeant Richardson(Back,Hip,Arm)won an epic against Digger Barnes  in five including a 21-19 fourth game.He went down to Andrew(Good Boy)Sharland 13-15 in the fifth.Captain Gilbert(Knee)got his excuses in early against Digger losing tamely in three,Phil and Barrie both beat Steve Hoad and Barrie beat Good Boy.Old Crocks 7 Horsham A 2.

Foresters B showed their C team no respect caning them 8-1,Tim Surrey and Tony Steel won three each against Alice Hazell,Phil Nicholls and Jan Collado,Phil pushed Tim to 8 in t victory,Lewis Mayhewhe fifth,Tony Steel beat Jan in five while Jan scored the only point for the Cs beating Mike Robinson in five.

Foresters A showed no mercy to their D team with an 8-1 victory,Lewis Mayhew won all three over Luke Gallacher,Gerry Pugh and Poor Old Bonner 11-5 in the final end,Mr Reliable Mark Collins also won all three ,the Ds only success came from Gerry Pugh with a five set win over Adam Daley. 

In a closely contested encounter Crawley Community B just edged out Blades C 5-4,Paul Newton is finding his feet in the rarified air of the Crawley Premier with two good wins against Steve Pound and improving youngster Ryszard Pelc only going down to the Old Blocker Graham Carter.Shaun Parsley(What keeps him looking so young) was imperious winning a maximum ,Graham Green had a desperately close loss 11-13 to old foe Steve.

Martin Gunn won all three for Blades B finishing off with a trouncing of John Robinson in the final match,Graham Beaney had a good 14-12 win in the decider against bearded Michael Bridger in turn Michael won in five versus Sally Henke.6-3 to Blades B.

TopvBottom went according to form with a 9-0 win to Blades A over Copthorne,Gary Bristowe pushed Steve Barby to five while Chris Pullinger won ends from George Hazell and Steve.
