Digger Barnes chisels out fine treble

None can ever accuse Graham Barnes for lacking effort,you only have to look at the state of him after his games,he also has a never say die attitude and incredible determination,against Foresters E he defeated Phil Nicholls in straight games and followed up with two five set wins over Mike Robinson and Johnny Clarke,he was ably supported by Chris Vincent who edged out Phil deuce in the decider and won a four setter against Mike.5-4 to Horsham A.   

16 year old Isabella Joubilly scored a fine win over Robin Stace and pushed Barrie Gilbert close in four games.Phil Richardson reunited with his shorts played impressively to win three and earn a rare man of the match award.Robin squeezed out a deuce in the fifth against old friend Tony Catt and demolished Graham Carter three straight.Tony Catt performed well to defeat Barrie in three.7-2 to Crawley Community A.

John Callcut achieved a rare win over Steve Barby and also beat Ryorzard Pelc,this was the extent of Crawley Community Bs success as Blades A ran out 7-2 winners with George Hazell scoring yet another maximum.

Foresters B won 6-3 against Foresters D with Dan Pound surprisingly scoring a duck losing out to Kate Cheer,Rebecca George and James Wheatley,Matt Craig and Mr Reliable Mark Collins won all three.

Horsham Spinners 13 year old Will Michell saved two match points to win at deuce in the final game against experienced Nick Smith,Rory Scott and Tom Pomej won three each,Mark Weston and Gary Pells scored Horsham Bs two points to close the gap on Copthorne

Foresters A steamrollered Copthorne 9-0 to further extend their lead at the top only dropping one end.

For the second week in a row Crawley Sports only fielded two players and went down 2-7 to Foresters C.Joe Comper scored a fine win over in form Adam Daley and Graham Beaney defeated Gerry Pugh in five,Bonzo won two.

After 12 matches Foresters A have built up a commanding lead while four teams are competing for second spot.The league has gone from strength to strength this season with 83 players competing so far.
