While England’s footballers were tackling Sweden in the World Cup quarter-finals, it was Surrey and Sussex who kicked off an initiative involving their younger cadets from the age of just eight.
Friendly county matches were arranged primarily for the counties’ relatively inexperienced potential. The underlying criteria was to introduce young players who had not previously participated in the County Championships.

Oliver Maric-Murray was triumphant in the Under 11 Boys at last weekends National Championships. Sasha O'Halloran performed well to reach the Quarter Final in the Under 13 Girls.

This years League AGM will be held on Thursday 12th July 2018 at Hut 2 Foresters Table Tennis Club.

The meeting will commence at 7.30pm.

Tonight the 8th May will be the last Tuesday practice session, the Hall will now be used for the School Exams. Returning in July, date to be established.

A good Cadet Event for Charlie Graham-Adams, A strong performance from George Hazell, Kate Cheer retains her Junior Doubles Title. James Smith Singles Runner Up.

The winners of this season’s Shield Competition are Crawley Sports D who beat Crawley Community F 364-361 in a very closely-contested final.
Congratulations to the Crawley Sports team Hilary Bostock, Howard Bostock and John Major. Bad luck to the Crawley Community squad of Pawel Sendeki, Peter Cracknell and Zbigniew Sakowski who were not quite able to overcome the handicap difference of 56, but only by the smallest of margins.

Blades A Retained their Premier Title with a dominant display last night from Josh Bennett , George Hazell and Jamie Nordin.
