Birmingham League update 08-02-2012

Colebridge Braves produced a superb display to crush Beaufort Sports B 8-2 in the Premier Division of the Birmingham League.

Amit Ubhi and Lee Holtham were both unbeaten for Braves with Ubhi beating Rob Rowson 14-12 in the fifth , and Rob Sheldon 11-8 in the decider. 

League leaders Colebridge Aces brushed aside strugglers Sutton A 10-0.

Michael Browne , Pat Glynn and Alan Caffery pushed Smiths Wood A into second place in the section following a storming 10-0 triumph over Streetly A. 

Hamstead B edged Smiths Wood B 6-4 courtesy of a Colin Greene hat trick.

Hemal Raval gained another maximum for Division One top dogs Hamstead C in a 7-3 victory at Smiths Wood C.

Paul Leck of Smiths had an excellent win over individual leader Baz Barrett.

Sutton B were grateful to a Purdip Shoker maximum in their 6-4 win over Streetly B.

Parijat De was unstoppable for Bournville A in an 8-2 thumping of West Midlands Police A.

Streetly C pipped Quinborne A 6-4 in Division Two , with match of the night seeing Quins Tim Freeman beat the highly rated Richard Parks 11-9 in the fifth.

Mike Cooper was a maximum man for Sutton C in a 7-3 success over Colebridge Eagles.

Colebridge Falcons beat Smiths Wood D 6-4 . Steve Taylor notched a maximum for Colebridge Dinosaurs in their 7-3 success at Sutton D.

Smithereens B maintained their promotion challenge with a 10-0 mauling of Colebridge Giants , with Dave Whittinglow , Paul Adams and Kevin Flavell untroubled.

Ivy Leaf A and Maypole B drew 5-5 in Division Three , with Paul Thomas gaining a maximum. Colebridge Hawks swooped to a 7-3 triumph over Quinborne, with Mick Walsh registering a treble over Pulkip Bawa in his treble for the Hawks.

Martian Clayton and Martin George maximums led Bournville B to a resounding 8-2 victory at Sutton E.

Walmley A had Chris Hall and Alan White emulate the feat in the 7-3 defeat of Jacombs A in Division Four.

Grant Williamson led Colebridge Indians to a 6-4 victory at Walmley B with an unbeaten display , and Boni Amin did likewise for Sutton F in their 8-2 victory over West Midlands Police B.
