23 points separate the top two teams in Division Three

Tollgate F stay top of Division Three after beating Pegasus C 7-3. It was a great opportunity for Oliver Rampton of Tollgate to experience what life is like in a higher division after playing up from Division Four. Rampton was extremely unlucky not to win at least one game after losing two of his games in five sets. He has, however, gained invaluable experience that will help his game to improve. Second place Tollgate G had a shock 7-3 loss against Gilberd A. However, this result still leaves Tollgate 15 points ahead of Pegasus C thanks to their ‘F’ team beating Pegasus. Pegasus E boosted their chances of survival thanks to a 5-5 draw with Gt Horkesley C. They now sit 3 points from safety. Gt Horkesley D beat St James E 8-2 with Paul Naret-Barnes winning all of his games for Gt Horkesley. Pegasus D proved too strong for Dedham B as they were victorious with a 10-0 win.

With Tollgate A having a vacant week, Rowhedge A had the chance to close the gap and put pressure on the Premier Division leaders. They faced a strong St James A side which included unbeaten James Denyer as one of their players. St James were the ones who came out on top and they beat Rowhedge 6-4. Denyer maintained his unbeaten record to help St James move to within seven points of 3rd place Rowhedge B with two games in hand. Pegasus A had a 5-5 draw with Rowhedge B. John Andrews won all of his games for Rowhedge. Jared Chelski played up from Division Two and did exceptionally well to win two of his games. Unfortunately, losing against Glen Laing has meant his 36-match unbeaten record has now been broken, but will still hope his Division Two unbeaten record stays intact.

In Division One, Walton B stay top after beating a resilient Tollgate C side 7-3. Colin Dearman achieved a maximum for Walton. Rowhedge D sit three points behind in 2nd place thanks to a 9-1 victory over their sister team, Rowhedge C. Rowhedge C’s only point of the evening came in the doubles.

Lawford C’s chances of promotion improved tremendously after beating last week’s leaders, Rowhedge F, 8-2. Richard Spence and Paul Hewitt won all of their games for Lawford. Pegasus B drew 5-5 with Gt Horkesley B, even after Pegasus only playing with two players. Rupesh Harding was unbeaten at the end of the night for Pegasus. Tollgate E beat Tollesbury B 6-4, with Richard Baxter winning all of his games for Tollgate.
