On paper, a team that was third in the table playing against the team who were rock bottom should have only resulted in one thing – a big win for St James E. However, this was not the case. The ladies of Dedham fought valiantly and were able to pick up four points in a 6-4 loss, which could prove valuable come the end of the season. Chris Jones (Dedham) won a maximum, but was unable to win the doubles with partner Denise Thompson. Dedham remain 9 points adrift of safety, but will use this result to give them encouragement moving forward into the next few weeks. Lawford C extended their lead at the top of the table by thrashing Pegasus E 9-1. Barry Steggall picked up the only point for Pegasus. Gilberd A beat Pegasus F 9-1 in a mid-table clash.
