League Press Report - Week 14

In a division where the top spot looks almost certain, Lawford B are trying their hardest to claim the other promotional spot. They improved their chances by beating close rivals, Tollesbury B, 7-3. Tollesbury were winning 3-2 but Lawford recorded an impressive comeback by winning the next five games. Paul Phelan won all of his games for Lawford. Gt Horkesley C beat St James D 7-3, but the scoreline could have been greater if it wasn’t for the courageous efforts of Graham Bunce. He won all three points for St James D. Tollgate D continued their impressive record by beating Pegasus D 8-2. Tom Elder increased his win record to 96.55%.

Only one point separates 2nd and 3rd in Division Four, so every game is still to play for. Gilberd B are the team in 2nd after beating Lawford E 7-3. Olly Fifield and Harry Lynch both won maximums. Tollgate F could only manage a draw against Tollesbury C, but stay top of the division. Tollgate E beat Pegasus G 7-3, with Ken Huang winning all of his games for Tollgate.

In the Premier Division, Pegasus A stay bottom as they lost 8-2 to Tollgate B. Wudong Liu achieved a maximum on the night. Rowhedge C continue their good form by beating Walton A 9-1. Kevin James was the only player able to win a point for Walton.

Pegasus B move into 2nd position in Division One thanks to a 7-3 victory over Tollgate C. Steve Noble proved too strong for each of Tollgate’s players.
