Three teams on equal points at the top of Division One

It could not be much closer in the race for promotion in Division One. Three teams all have 38 points at the top of the division, with Rowhedge D leading the pack as they have the most wins & draws out of the other two teams. Abhi Peshkar and Martin Edwards helped them beat Tollgate C 6-4 as they won all their games of the evening. Walton B sit 2nd after beating Rowhedge C 7-3. David Binns won all his games for Walton but Neil Huatan took him close, losing 10-12 in the fifth set. Gt Horkesley A are the third and final team sitting on 38 points as they beat Tollesbury A 8-2. Steve Holland and Lloyd Bennett-Smith both achieved maximums. St James C thrashed Lawford B 10-0 and only dropped one set in the entire evening.


In Division Two, Jared Chelski remains on 100% after helping Rowhedge G to a 9-1 victory over Tollesbury B. Lawford C are still top after an 8-2 victory over Pegasus B. Paul Hewitt won all his games for Lawford. Tollgate E are two points behind thanks to a 9-1 win against St James D. Richard Baxter and Richard Upson were unbeaten come the end of the evening. Gt Horkesley B had a close victory over Dedham A, beating them 6-4. Colin Brown won all his games for Gt Horkesley. Rowhedge F beat their sister team, Rowhedge E, 6-4.


Pegasus C are top of Division Three after beating their ‘E’ team 8-2. Alastair Woodcock proved too strong for his opponents, winning all his games. Tollgate F are four points behind with two games in-hand over Pegasus C after a 10-0 victory against Gt Horkesley C. Gilberd A beat Pegasus D 6-4. Olly Fifield kept his winning percentage high (90.48%) after winning all his games for the Gilberd. Tollgate G beat Gt Horkesley D 7-3, with Toby Deng ending the night unbeaten. John Marshall and Scott Campbell won all their games to help St James E claim a 7-3 victory over Dedham B.


Only four points separate the top three teams at the top of Division Four. Rowhedge H are top after beating Pegasus G 8-2. Jarecki Sahaj and Jamie Morgan won maximums for Rowhedge. Tollesbury C sit one point behind thanks to an impressive 9-1 victory over 3rd-place Dedham C. Shirley Carroll won all her games to remain unbeaten this season (15/15 wins), with Martin Lewis also winning all his games of the evening. Lawford D had a good 8-2 win against Gilberd B. Charlie Morris-Denholm won all his games for Lawford. Pegasus G beat Tollgate H 8-2, with Garry Eames achieving a maximum. Tollgate then reversed this score-line against Pegasus F the following evening. Ken Huang won all his games for Tollgate.


In the Premier Division, Tollgate A had the chance to extend their lead at the top as Rowhedge A had a ‘vacant’ week. They did so by beating a resilient St James A 7-3. Tollgate’s Colin Stallwood remained unbeaten at the end of the evening. Lawford A helped their chances of staying up after drawing 5-5 with Tollgate B. Daniel Shelley achieved a maximum for Lawford. St James B and Rowhedge B also ended 5-5, even with St James only playing with two players. Walton A beat Pegasus A 7-3, with Gary Young winning all his games for Walton.
