With only one game being recorded so far in Division Three for last week, it was a chance for Pegasus D to claw back lost points on second place Tollesbury B for that much sought after promotion spot. They faced bottom of the table Gilberd B, and raced into a 9-0 lead. Roger Springett of the Gilberd didn’t want to concede a whitewash, so he beat Kevin Turner in 4 sets, 11-9 in the 4th to make it a 1-9 loss.
Rowhedge K move 20 points clear at the top of Division Four, after a 10-0 thrashing of Lawford D. Tollgate F had a very good 7-3 win over Pegasus G, with youngster Callum Wilkinson achieving a fine maximum for the Tollgate side.
In the Premier Division, Rowhedge B scored a very credited 4 points against the top team, Gt Horkesley A. What makes it even more a valuable result is the Rowhedge team are currently fighting it out near the bottom of the table, so if they can pick up a few points against the top teams, this will give them a great chance of staying up when it comes to the end of the season. Gary Cattermole won all of his games for Rowhedge. Rowhedge C move further ahead of Tollgate A after beating Gt Horkesley B 10-0. Tollgate A beat Pegasus A 8-2.
In Division One, Tollesbury B compiled only their 2nd win of the season, beating Tollgate C 6-4. Scott Bills had a fine maximum for the Tollesbury club. Rowhedge F picked up a credible 4 points to help their chances for survival against local rivals Rowhedge D, while Walton B beat Rowhedge E 8-2.
Lawford A move one point clear of Gt Horkesley D of Division Two after beating Rowhedge G 7-3. It could’ve been more for the Lawford club if Peter Wright was able to win any of his matches on the night. Steve Holland helped Gt Horkesley D beat Dedham B 6-4, winning all of his matches. There was also a win for Pegasus C, whilst Pegasus B and Tollgate D played out a 5-5 draw.
