St James C win coastal clash

St James’ C are sitting proudly on top of D1 as we move into November after another hard fought match against coastal rivals Walton A. No player was unbeaten but 4 players got 2 wins each in a 5-5 stalemate. Meanwhile, Rowhedge D have moved into second place on the back of a convincing 9-1 victory over St James B with Oli Reynolds and Neil Huatan dominating.

As has been previously mentioned this is a division full of well matched teams and no encounter this year will be closer that Gavin Price v Mel Rampton in the Dedham A / Walton B fixture. Gavin prevailed in 5 but only by the minimum margin possible- 10-12,11-9,9-11,12-10,10-12! Walton B squeaked home 6-4 with a Kevin James maximum.

At the bottom Rowhedge F are still searching for their first win following an 2-8 loss to Tollgate C but both they and second bottom Tollesbury A have games in hand so will hope to make up the gap soon.
