Tollgate B Move to Within Three Points of the Top of Premiership

Surprise package Tollgate B completed their fifth win of the season and in doing so moved to within three points of the top of the Premier Division. They overcame a talented Tollesbury A 8-2 with Martyn Green winning his first player of the match award winning three. He was pushed all the way by Ben Paige and was lucky himself against Tom Lewis but beat Tollesbury's top performer on the night Paddy Gilbert in four ends. Gilbert earlier accounted for both Sue Welham and inflicted Charlie Fulcher's first defeat of the season.  

Tollgate's A team maitained their one hundred percent record with a narrow 6-4 win at H20 Rowhedge A and remain third. Kevin Gowlett returned to form with three impressive wins for Rowhedge whilst Rui Campos made his Tollgate debut with one win against skipper David Moss who drew a rare blank. Greg Green and Colin Stalwood won two each for Tolllgate as well as a fine doubles win over Gowlett and John Andrews to secure the win.

H20 Rowhedge B remain fourth despite losing for only their second time this season. St James A beat them 8-2 with veteran John Monk ending Gary Cattermole's run of three consecutive POMS! Monk won three and Cattermole the two points for Rowhedge. Mark Smith was winless on his first outing of the season.

Jermaine Fearon continued his impressive rise with three excellent wins in H20 Rowhedge C's 7-3 win over Gt Horkesley B. Kieran Hills won two in reply but was well beaten by Fearon in three straight sets 2, 7 & 3!
