Freeman in fine form leading Tollgate C to 3rd win in D1 as Laing loses 100 per cent record

Neil Freeman chalked up his 3rd maximum of the season in a merited victory over league leaders Pegasus A this week, ending Pegasus’s Glen Laing’s unbeaten start to the season and coming back from 2 down to Steve Noble along the way. He was aided by Daryl Lott’s first win of this campaign and support from Steve New which meant that 2 each from Laing and Noble was not enough to prevent a 6-4 win for the Holmwood House based side.

Walton A kept their good run towards the top going with the powerful trio of John Rice, Matt Watson and Dave Binns racing to a 9-1 defeat of Horkesley C, where Ken Lewis was the only one able to provide a degree of resistance, all other games ending 3 straight. Rowhedge E remain in second place however thanks to an 8-2 positive scoreline in their match with 2 man Walton, Martin Edwards claiming another player of the match award.

Dedham A are also faring well with 7-3 win over Rowhedge D their latest success. They did not have everything go their way though as Neil Huatan continued to show his talent with all 3 points for the away team.

Can all D1 captains please check with their secretaries and ensure they have read an update re University of Essex's home night which is being changed due to lack of availability.
