Pegasus C Record a Hard Earned Draw Against League Leaders of Division 2

In a match that didn't finish until late on in the evening, Pegasus C were very unlikely not to record a very good win over the current league leaders. Steve Holland was again Player of the Match, but it wasn't as easy as his wins suggest. Steve won his first two matches quite comfortably in straight sets, but it was a whole different story come the final match of the evening. The first set played against Clive Forster was a very tightly fought contest, with Steve just edging it 18-16. The second set was won by Clive, in another close one, 15-13. Steve won the third 11-9 and then won the game 12-10 in the fourth, however each point of the whole game lasted for at least a dozen shots each! Alistair Brown and Dave Whiting did well for the Pegasus club, winning 2 games each.

Rowhedge F move up to second in the table with a close 6-4 victory over Dedham B. Chris Brook was on fine form again winning all 3 of his games; only dropping one set throughout the night. George Berry did well to win 2 matches, winning both of his games in 5 sets.

Tollesbury B had a very good 7-3 win over Pegasus B, with Rob King unbeaten on the night. The best match of the night was the final one and it involved Rob vs. Tony Eversden. Rob won 11-8, 11-8, 9-11, 11-8 and each point was played with real conviction. Long, short rallies were matched with fast and furious corner-to-corner play, with both players receiving a deserved long round of applause at the end of the game.
