MATCH REPORTS WEEKENDING 28 JJUNE 2019
 

KO CUP ROUND ONE 

Beaumont Nomads B defeated the Division One League leaders Ormesby A by 5-2 in the Handicap Cup competition of the Cleveland & District Summer Table Tennis League last week.

Beaumont won the fixture as a result of three wins for Geoff Howe and one each from Bruce Lowther and Phil Pugh.  For Ormesby Michael Young produced the best results with wins against both Pugh and Lowther. 

Nunthorpe B progressed to the second round with a 5-2 victory over Ormesby D.  David Williams and David Hildreth both scored hat tricks, whilst John McCullow and Tom Hand both scored one for Ormesby with a win against Bob Evans.

Ormesby Wheelers won the closest match of the week, beating Westbourne by 5-4.  Brian Holloway and Noel Thomas won two each whilst Marc Bonner won one.  John Harper won two for Westbourne while Lee Kelly and Mike Purdy won one each.  With the score poised at 4-4 Noel Thomas beat Mike Purdy to clinch the match.

Ormesby TTC C did well to overcome the Ormesby Hopes B team winning by 5-4.  Kyle Brant and Keith Turland both won two, whilst Irene McCafferty won one.  Jack Hodgson and Aaron Christie replied with two each for the Hopes team.
