The division 3 title race will go right to the very last match after Barrow D hit two hard fought wins and jumped from 5th position to top. They included talented Matty Gilmour in their side for the trip to Tarporley Electric A and despite two good wins for home based Russell Hunt the visitors triumphed 6 4 . The following evening they completed their season with an emphatic 8 2 win over lowly Groves E who nevertheless are a talented squad who will greatly improve next season. Alan Gilmour and Darryl Pickering backed unbeaten Matthew with good singles successes. They now await the result of Newton C v County Officers G to see who takes the title, Newton needing a good victory to overtake the Barrow squad.

Elsewhere Groves C moved into the final of the handicap Odex Cup with a narrow 17 point success over fellow division 1 side Saughall Deva, Paul Ingham once again picking up the vital points when they counted. Colin Fergus and the powerful County Officers B side await them in the final.

Elsewhere Newton comprehensively defeated a spirited Newton A squad led by experienced Phil Luxon to move above Pulford in the Premier division , and Paul Curley hit a fine maximum for Kelsall Cobras in a division 2 clash with Barrow C which ended 6 4 in Kelsalls favour.
