Following an enjoyable but competitive 10 0 home victory over a Select One team, Pulford now head the Premier Division after four fixtures. Led by captain Andy Eagles they proved far too strong for the trio from the lower section. Elsewhere Alan Rigby was in fine for County Officers A as they fought out an honourable 5 5 result away at Groves.

In division 1 leaders Officers B march on, defeating Saughall Port 9 1, Mark Simpson hitting a fine maximum. Ray Gregory hit 2 terrific singles wins as Barrow A narrowly outpointed Groves A 6 4 and thanks to 3 fine wins for Jeff Sharples, struggling Newton B ended their losing streak with a draw at Beechwood.

Division 2 leaders, Groves D, were defeated 4 6 by in form Barrow B, Lynsey Pellew-Nabbs saving her team from a heavier defeat with a terrific maximum. Charlie Cooke was in top form for Officers C as they continue to chase the top positions following a narrow 6 4 victory over Officers D who welcomed back Tom Bawn after a long injury, and he hit 2 fine wins. Jack Auckland backed Andrew Moulton as Tarporley Electric continue a fine run with a comfortable 7 3 success at Officers E.

Roger Dutton played well for Officers G in a division 3 clash with in form Newton C but failed to save the team from a 4 6 reverse.
