Newton A fielded a very strong team against Groves and moved into second place in the Premier division following an emphatic victory. Cheshire county players Ken Connor and Phil Luxon teamed up with N Wales representative Roger Lee and hit a maximum 10 0 scoreline. Elsewhere a powerful Pulford trio entertained Officers A and also recorded a comfortable win, whilst Jens Andersen led County Officers first team to a 9 1 success over a spirited Select trio.

In division 1 leaders Groves B were made to fight hard for a narrow 6 4 win over struggling Newton B , Phil Hough hitting a maximum for the victors, Stuart Dearden two wins for Newton. County Officers B overwhelmed Groves A 9 1 to move into a challenging position and Saughall Deva included new signing John Chan as they outpointed Barrow A 8 2. Elsewhere Dave Ash hit a fine maximum but it failed to prevent Groves C defeating his Saughall Port squad 6 4.

Led by captain Linda Powell, Groves D remain division 2 leaders following a 7 3 success over lowly Officers D, and Martin Dodd was in fine form for Barrow B as they overcame Officers E 8 2. Paul Curley ensured Kelsall Cobras earned a fighting draw against second placed County Officers C.

Division 3 results saw a terrific 8 2 victory for high flying Saughall Institute over Groves E, and this achieved without captain Bob Salisbury. Newton C fought hard to earn a draw with Barrow D, Darryl Pickering playing well for the villagers.
