In the all division 1 Odex semi final featured last week , leaders County Officers accounted for a spirited Groves C team by a margin of 43 points. Keith Bartlett played a captains role picking up vital points throughout the evening, and the winners now face the victors of the all Premier tie between Newton and Newton A, the latter surprisingly knocking out favourites Barrow in the quarters.

In the Robert Moreton Shield belated quarter final, Brian Kelly and his Electric Sports A team narrowly outpointed fellow division 3 outfit Groves E and now progress to take on the strong division 2 team County Officers C led by Tony Collard.

In the other all division 2 semi Martin Dodd and his Barrow B squad will be favourites to defeat Hong Wang and his Officers D team who have struggled since gaining promotion.

Elsewhere, Pulford , led by Simon Jones and Andy Eagles defeated Pulford B 9 1 in a Premier league clash , and in an important division 3 fixture leaders Barrow C inflicted a heavy defeat on their own D side to open up a sizeable gap on rivals Saughall Institute. Bryan Fitzpatrick and Michelle Hall were undefeated in the 8 2 victory.
