Division 1 action resulted in County Officers A going top following a fine 8 2 away victory over Groves A, Alan Rigby being well backed up by talented Keith Roper. Mike Mercer was again undefeated as his Newton B side remain in contention after a hard fought 7 3 win over promoted Officers B, and Geoff Willetts led his Beechwood team to a welcome 7 3 success over Groves B. Newton C continue to struggle and Mike Tattum hit a terrific maximum as Groves C completed an emphatic 9 1 success prior to the teams meeting again in the cup this week.

In the Premier division Shaun Hall led Newton to a resounding 10 0 victory over a sporting Groves trio, and Joe Killoran was in top form to ensure Newton A forced a draw with Pulford, Ashley Hill making his debut for the cestrians. Elsewhere Andy Taylor hit a fine maximum as County Officers accounted for a weakened Barrow A team 7 3.

Saughall Port continue to head division 2 but a brilliant maximum from Andy Moulton for struggling Electric Sports held the leaders to a 7 3 scoreline and Jens Anderson ensured that Barrovians remain close behind following a comprehensive 8 2 victory over a useful Barrow B side. Lynsey Pellew- Nabbs led Groves D to a narrow 6 4 win over a Barrow C team inspired by Bryan Fitzpatrick, and Russell Hunt hit a great maximum as Tarporley finally recorded a win, a close 6 4 success over Officers D.

Lola Roberts was unbeaten in division 3 as she led her Officers G squad to a terrific 9 1 win over Electric Sports A , and Ben Caveen ensured that Barrow D finally got their season off the ground with a fine 8 2 success over a sporting Officers F team.
