Three league veterans representative teams had home matches in various Lancs/Cheshire divisions resulting in two victories and one defeat. The premier team entertained a strong Oldham squad and although Milan Puchala hit two fine wins and teamed up with Ken Connor for a doubles success the match ended in a disappointing 3 7 defeat. They remain mid table.

However the unbeaten A team proved far too strong for East Lancs A in a division 2 clash and maximums from Rob Wylie and Andy Eagles led them to an emphatic 9 1 scoreline and they keep top spot.

Meanwhile the B squad continued their push for promotion from division 3 when they completely outplayed a spirited Wirral team 10 0 with each of the team of John Chan, Andy Taylor and Alf Perry hitting 3 fine wins apiece. They have now closed on leaders Blackpool B at the half way stage of the season.
