It was a successful weekend for the Veterans representative teams as both returned home with victories. Rob Wylie hit a terrific maximum for the A team at Wigan and was well backed by Andy Eagles and Ray Worthington in a 7 3 scoreline which means they maintain top spot in Lancs/Cheshire division 2. Meanwhile the B team made their  long journey to Barrow in Furness in division 3 and also recorded a 7 3 success with  "legend " Alf Perry unbeaten and good wins for teammates Andy Taylor and John Chan. 

Locally, current Chester and Liverpool singles champion, Shaun Hall, ensured that his Newton team remained in contention to retain the Premier title following an emphatic 9 1 success at Groves, and Simon Jones led Pulford to a welcome 8 2 win over a useful Select trio. Newcomer Mitchell Barker is showing devastating form for Premier leaders Barrow and they overwhelmed Pulford B 10 0 without losing a set to remain top of the table. 

Barry Hough led division 1 leaders, Groves B, to a convincing 8 2 scoreline at Saughall Deva, and Alan Rigby was in top form for County Officers A as they climbed the table with a 9 1 victory over struggling Beechwood.  

Division 2 highlights included a maximum for Daniel Webber as Officers C fought out a draw with the talented Saughall Port squad, and Terry Haselden was in top form for winners Barrovians at home to Officers D. Gareth Hughes led the strong Barrow B team to a convincing 8 2 success at home to Tarporley, and Lynsey Pellew-Nabbs continued her unbeaten season as she led Groves D to a hard fought 7 3 win at resilient Electric Sports.
