Current Premier  Division champions, British Steel, lost more ground on the leaders when they suffered a 3-7 defeat to a Corus side spearheaded by top players Neil Powell and Mark Pugh who both  hit fine maximums. The Steel squad now have a lot to do to catch Corus B who put out a strong trio at home against a weakened Barrow side who nevertheless fought back tenaciously from a position of being 0-5 down to eventually lose 4-6. Wayne Percival out pointed Aaron Beech but then suffered a five set  defeat to hard hitting Danny Russell who now plays in the very strong Liverpool division 1, and Beech in turn stormed back to inflict a first defeat of the season on Corus number 1 Shaun Hall.

In division 1 Andy Taylor led leaders County Officers A to an emphatic 9-1 victory over bottom placed Whitby Sports and in form Groves A remain in contention following a comfortable 8-2 scoreline over  Corus C , unbeaten Barrie Hough leading the way. No player hit a maximum in an entertaining drawn clash between improving Beechwood and mid table Pulford B.

Colin Fergus continued his fine form this season with three wins to ensure County  Officers B obtained at least a draw in there  division 2 encounter with a revitalised Electric Sports team who have captain Mike Eastell back in their ranks. Elsewhere Steve Sung and Philip Hough led buoyant Groves B to a terrific 9 1 win over Whitby Sports A which means they have still only suffered one defeat this season and remain 3rd in the table.

The only division 3 result to hand is a 9-1 success for James Deutsch and his County Officers D team  over Northcote, Bryan Davies also in unbeatable form for the victors.

The veterans B side made a second trip of the season to Barrow in Furness for a Lancs/ Cheshire match but unfortunately lost 2-8 and will probably face relegation at the end of the year following promotion last term.
