Please note that the club will be closed on Friday 6th March 2015 as the YMCA has their annual Sleep Easy event. The staff and volunteers will be sleeping in the car park to raise money, so that others on the street do not have too.

The Cheltenham league will again be holding the annual Championships at the club this year. The junior events will be on Tuesday 17th March and Friday 20th March and the main event on Sunday 22nd March 2015. Entries close this Friday and the entry forms can be found on the club web site for those who wish to participate. Please also note that on these evenings part of the hall will be allocated for the events.

The club’s weekly over 50s’ daytime session on Monday mornings from 10.00 – 12.00 noon continue. We are pleased to announce that at the end of April the YMCA will take over the project after the big success.

The final night of the winter season is on the 27th March 2015, after which time we will be taking a small break for Easter. The club re-opens on Tuesday 14th April from 7 – 9pm. We will then be open every Tuesday and Friday 7 – 9 p.m. until the 17th July 2015.

The summer membership remains the same as last year. The new summer membership forms will be e-mailed shortly and will also be available on the web site. Richard Comley will also be running a summer league and coaching available.

The sport is bringing in a new plastic ball and all league matches and competitions in Cheltenham will be using this next season. The club therefore will no longer be selling the old celluloid ball. We are currently reviewing the quality and availability of the 3* level ball before purchasing a supply.  Supplies of the new plastic training balls have been purchased and are now available for sale from the duty manager at £0.80 per ball. Supplies of the old celluloid ball can still be purchased if required from Simon Pratten by special order.

The club also have a small supply of good new starter bats available

at £15.00 each including a cover. These can be purchased from

the duty manager.

Chris Roberts passed his level 1 table tennis qualification this month after support from the club and Gloucestershire Active, and will join the coaching team after April.

Individual lessons for the summer can now be booked with the coaches direct and the rate is £20.00 an hour or £10.00 per half hour.

The Friday night ladies’ sessions are also expected to continue during the summer programme.

This is a growing concern and any unclaimed items will be sent to the charity shop at the end of March.

We currently have a watch, a grey scarf , a black coat and a brown towel on the list. Please see the duty manager if you wish to claim your items.

Thank you

Club Committee.
