Given the extremely high temperatures forecast for Monday 18 July and Tuesday 19 July 2022, the Organising Committee of the Central Essex Summer League have decided that ALL fixtures scheduled for either of those two days should be postponed.

This relates to all fixtures on these two days even if they are scheduled to be played in air conditioned premises, as travel to and from venues will still be harzardous in extreme heat.

To accommodate the re-arrangement of fixtures the Summer League will be extended into the week beginning 1 August 2022.So fixtures can now be played up to and including Sunday 7 August 2022.

We would be grateful if the home captains (or club secretaries) of all teams with fixtures due to be played on 18 or 19 July contact the captains of their opponents to agree an alternative date for the game. When agreed, please notify Ken Sheard (ksheard@live.co.uk) of the new date.
