Halloween was the perfect night for a reappearance of the Bury Normans previously seen at the same location and the same time just the week before - but that was in the Cup so there was nothing spooky going on.
Normans made two changes to the team from the previous week and the Leopards one.
Ian Bridgeman and Colin Henderson got the evening underway with Colin a comfortable 3-1 winner. The next two matches were shared with Carol Clarke repeating her result of last week by beating Goran Gelevski and Roger Whomes winning emphatically 3-0 against Mel Redit.
The fourth match of the night was Carol against Colin and it was Carols attacking forehand that proved too much for Colin, Carol winning 3-1.
At this stage of the evening it was 2 matches all but now things took a turn in Normans favour. First of all Roger beat Ian in a close 5 setter, next Goran comfortably beat Mel 3-0. 4-2 to the Normans and now it was the turn of unbeaten Carol against the unbeaten Roger, it was nip and tuck all the way in another 5 setter but this time Roger was the winner.
The night was closing in so the final 2 singles matches were played simultaneously, Mel against Colin was over first with a 3-0 win for Colin, while on the other table Goran reversed the result of the previous week by beating Ian 3-2.
Finally the doubles was an easy win for Colin and Roger against a tired Ian & Carol. As usual an enjoyable night of table tennis with Normans winning 8-2 and the man of the match - the unbeaten Roger Whomes.
