Match report - Stowmarket Leopards v Stowmarket Tigers

Stowmarket Leopards 5-5 Stowmarket Tigers

09/12/2015 - Ian Bridgeman

With both teams in the top half of the table this was always going to be a closely fought derby match, and so it proved.

Leopards, the home team took the first match with Pete Bernard playing well to beat Jack Samson. Playing slightly out of order, Ian Bridgeman lost to Luke Davies-Stokes before Leopards again regained the lead with Keith George beating Megan Bollen.

Keith remained on the table to take on Jack and soon established a 2-0 lead but Jack showed why he is near the top of the averages this season and fought back to win 3-2.
Luke is another young Tiger in form and he overcame Pete.
Megan having changed bats and styles midway through the season has come on leaps and bounds and had a very close match with Ian narrowly losing in the fifth.

The night progressed with Luke beating Keith and Jack beating Ian, before Pete was able to pull one back for the Leopards by beating Megan.

With the doubles to play Leopards were behind 4-5, Pete and Ian pulled out all the stops and were comfortable 3-0 winners.
So it finished, an honourable draw, Leopards 5 Tigers 5
