Fixture Secretary Report

Having Steve Scholz, Eamonn Hall, Tim Huxtable and Lee McHugh helping to load results is working very well and we are pretty much up to date. Most teams know to send their cards to burnhamttl@gmail.com.

Division 1

The Mapledene B and Maldon A match was awarded to Maldon A as Mapledene could not raise a team with only a few days’ notice. Penalty was -5 points to Mapledene B and +7 to Maldon A (possibly upgraded to 8,9 or 10 points later in the season depending on the result of the send fixture. All other fixtures are up to date.

Division 2

Woodham C has given a few days’ notice of not being able to raise a team for their 9 Oct game vs West Maldon B. I have not heard from West Maldon B but Allan Steel tells me they are in agreement to postpone. The rules do not allow for the inability to raise a team to be good reason for postponement and the committee therefore agreed to award to West Maldon B because: 1) I have been asked to reduce rearranged matches and 2) that is what we did to Mapledene B and we ought to strive for consistency. Penalty was -5 points to Woodham C and +7 to West Maldon B (possibly upgraded to 8,9 or 10 points later in the season depending on the result of the send fixture. All other fixtures are up to date.

Division 3

St Lawrence A requested a rearrangement of fixtures against Mayland B and St Lawrence B very soon the fixtures had been published and with plenty of notice. Due to the notice given, these fixtures were rearranged.

Burnham B’s venue was double booked and they are having to rearrange their fixture with St Lawrence A to 22 March 2017. As venues being unavailable is a good reason to postpone a match, this has been allowed.

All other fixtures are up to date.
