Luke Savill - outstanding for Fusion

Ormesby and Sycamore could not be separated as they played out an unforgettable 4-4 draw in a sublime morning’s play in Ormesby.

In a battle between two of the league’s powerhouses, the topsy turvy affair eventually ended level after exceptional individual performances from either side.

For Sycamore, the typically reliable Chris Doran was the star, registering impressive victories over Darius Knight and Enio Mendes to reassert his indispensable value to the side.

However his efforts were nullified by Helshan Weerasinghe. An excellent victory over Sean Cullen was bettered when he overcame Matt Ware in one of his most impressive performances to date.

Mendes and Knight recovered with victories over McCreery and Ware respectively whilst Cullen’s victory over Michael Marsden secured the draw.

As a result, Drumchapel stand proudly at the top of the league following their narrow 5-3 victory over Fusion. An outstanding performance from Fusion youngster Luke Savill couldn’t prevent his side being defeated as Xu Rui Feng once again demonstrated his world class talents. Savill beat both Richard Main and Scott Barton however Rui Feng dismantled Lorestas Trumpauskas and then overcame Kazeem Adeleke.

Matt Dodds’ victory over Barton gave Fusion hope but two wins for Sung Meng Cheng and one for Main secured victory.

Elsewhere, Kingfisher recovered from 3-1 down to pick up a vital result over winless Bournemouth.

Victories for Steve Beerling, Hugo Pang and Stephen Foster gave Bournemouth an advantage. However, a double from Tom Maynard sparked a recovery for his new side as his three teammates Liam McTiernan, David Barr and Daniel Kolesnik completed the fight back.

Finally, an outstanding victory for Gabriel Achampong secured a second consecutive victory for promoted London LVA Academy.

With the game poised at 4-3, Achampong beat Danny Lawrence 3-1 to give his side a vital two points. Sebastian Loso played a key role for LVA with wins over Gavin Evans and Joanna Drinkhall. However, an excellent response from Evans, defeating Dexter St Louis 3-0, gave Barrow hope. Lawrence and Drinkhall eased their side back into contention with wins over Adam Nutland and Achampong. However Achampong recovered with a fine display to clinch glory for his side.
