TO ALL CLUB SECRETARIES - CIRCULAR NO 10 - 2017/2018
ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
The 73rd Annual General Meeting of the Association will be held at the Heaton Tennis and Squash Club, Garth Barn Close?, Highgate, Heaton, Bradford on Monday 25th June 2018 commencing at 7:30pm. The attendance of at least one member of your club is requested and I would draw your attention to Rule 23, which will be strictly applied (Extract from Rule 23 "Any club failing to be represented at the Annual General Meeting shall be liable for a fine of £20")
No nominations have been received, but nominations for additional members will be accepted at the meeting.
ALTERATIONS TO RULES
There are two proposals for rule alterations this year, one proposal by the Management Committee and one proposal from Phil Cawser (Dewsbury Tog). Details of these proposals are contained in Circulars 7 and 8 and you should bring your copies with you to the meeting, as further copies will not be available on the evening. Copies of these circulars are also published on the Association's website.
PRESENTATION OF AWARDS
The following awards will be made:-
Lookers Trophy to Richard Aitkin (Hermits)
L E Forrest Senior to Tony McGowan (Hermits)
L E Forrest Junior to Burhaan Saghir (Hermits)
Emile Segard Trophy to Baildon TTC
League Awards - Divisional winners and Averages winners
Burton Cup and Theobould Trophy
There were no nominations for the Frank Briggs Memorial Trophy this year.
Please ensure that you bring the enclosed copies of the 2017AGM minutes and the various reports/Circulars with you to the meeting. These are attached to the accompanying email.
I am also enclosing team and player registration forms for the 2018/19 season. Team registration forms to include entry fees of £70 per team plus any outstanding fines, must reach the match secretary no later than 1st August, and player registration forms must be submitted no later than the SGM on 3rd September.
