TWO MAN LODGERS D DOWN SQUASH CLUB!

Lodgers D came away with a fortunate 6-4 win when they turned up to play Boston Squash Club with only two available players, Steve Hill and Tony Kime. With three points gifted to the Squash Club, two points against their higher placed opponents would give them a draw! Dave Tennent game them hope in the second game of the evening when he held on against the experienced Tony Kime, taking the fifth end 11-7, meaning they only needed one more point for a draw. With Steve Hill winning all of his singles, dropping just two ends against Dave Hill and Nikki Eden-Smith and with Tony Kime beating the unlucky Nikki, it was down to Dave Hill to make a name for himself against the canny Tony Kime! With Tony 1-2 up after the first three ends it was looking bleak, but Dave hit back to take a tight fourth end 11-9 to set up a grand finale! This was a tight affair but ultimately, experience won over with Tony scraping through 14-16 to give his team the win on the night.
