SYKES HITS RICH VEIN OF FORM!

  Scott Sykes was player of the match when Lodgers C took on clubmates Lodgers B, Scott winning all his three singles and dropping just one end in the process to Gary Jacques. Andy Pocklington and Steve Allen also registered their hattricks but were made to work that little bit harder for their points! Andy Pocklington was given a stern examination by Trev Blackbourn, Trev coming from 2-0 down to take it to a decider, only to let his comeback slip, Andy taking the decider 11-6. Steve Allen was somewhat rusty from not playing for over five weeks and was very nearly caught out by the unlucky Gary Jacques, Gary taking the first two ends against his highly ranked opponent, only for Steve to fight back to take the next three 11-6, 11-8, 11-6. The doubles also went the way of the home team, Scott/Steve beating Trev/Richard Baxter in four sets on the way to a 10-0 victory on the night.
