The fourth week of play in the Bolton Table Tennis League saw the Premier division's top team Flixton ppong A keep the pressure up with a 26 – 4 win over bottom team Hilton B with nines coming from Adam Thompson and Steve Davies. Second-placed Ramsbottom Town A had a 20 – 16 win against mid-table Hilton A with nine points from Andrew Jackson. Third-placed Wharton had a 22 -18 win over equally third-placed Burning Desire assisted by nine from Martin Wyatt. Mid-table Flixton ppong B had a good win 24 – 8 against tenth-placed Ladybridge A  with nines coming from Jordon Potts and Anthony Bates. Mid-table Coburg A had a 17 – 17 draw against second-bottom Ramsbottom Town B with Kyan Chin on nine for Coburg. Little Lever A also had a very close match, winning 19 – 18 against Radcliffe TTC just above them despite a resisting nine from Kristof Pinter.

In Division One three teams occupy the top spot on 92 points. Hilton D beat a two-man Farnworth Social Circle A 22 – 10. Little Lever Cricket Club B just overcame Heaton Cricket Club A 18 – 15 assisted by nine from Ian Lansdale. Polonia Club A beat Wingates 20 – 16 despite a resisting nine from John Bradbury. Fourth-placed Ramsbottom Town C had a good win 25 – 9 over Meadow Ben A with nines coming from Robert Bent and Terry Taylor. Fifth-placed Hilton C strangely lost out to their own E team 19 – 16 with the E team’s Ray Isherwood on nine. Mid-table Coburg B  lost out to second-bottom North West Lions 18 – 12.

Division Two’s promoted Farnworth Social Circle C made it four wins out of four to remain top. They beat a two-man Brass Zone 20 – 13 although Roger Bertrand maintained resistance with a nine.. Second-placed Meadow Ben B beat Farnworth Social Circle B 22 -15 helped by nine from Mike Heaton. Third-placed Ladybridge B also won 19 – 14 against mid-table Lostock Tennis Club assisted by nine from John Birchall. Fourth-placed Hilton Top Spinners beat Ramsbottom Town D just below them 19 – 15 despite a resisting nine from Raymond Kay.

Division Three’s top team Meadow Ben C took advantage of junior Hilton I with a full points 27 – 3 win. Second-placed Farnworth Social Circle D lost out to fourth-placed Hilton G 18 – 13 with Ian Raby on nine for Hilton. Third-placed Polonia Club B beat Meadow Ben D 21 – 11 despite a resisting nine from Steven Robertson. Mid-table Ladybridge C took advantage of new team Bolton Hindu Forum 23 – 8 with nine from John Hilton. Ninth – placed Hilton H beat Meadow Hill Tennis Club just below them 26 – 8 with nines from Brian Young and Robert Culf.
