LAST week the usual suspects, Flixton A, beat Ladybridge A 9-0 and Ramsbottom A dropped just one game against their own C team thanks to Martin Holt.

More balanced results saw Hilton A win 5-4 away to Wharton despite a treble for Wharton from Barry Elliott.

Radcliffe beat a two-man Nomads A 6-3 and Little LeverA overturned Burning Desire 7-2 helped by a treble from Graham Jeffries.

In Division One, two 6-3 results saw Farnworth SC A beat Hilton C with a treble from John Hutchinson, and Heaton A overcome Harper Brass A with a treble by Matt Ward.

Two 7-2 matches resulted in Hilton B beating Wingates with a treble from David Andrews and Nomads B come out on top against Little Lever CC C with a treble from Tim Vaughan.

Top team Coburg A took apart Hilton D 9-0.

In Division Two, 7-2 results enabled Meadow Ben A to beat Harper Brass C with a treble from Stephen Jones and Ramsbottom D beat Harper Brass B with Keith Howarth trebling.

Heaton CC B won against Farnworth SC B 6-3 thanks to a treble from David Hall and Hilton E convincingly beat Top Spinners 8-1 with James Storey providing the one-win resistance.

Division Three saw Heaton D beat Meadow Ben B 7-2 with trebles by David Jones and Martin Hulton, and Meadow Hill A lose to Polonia Club by the same score with Dawid Kakol and Ryszard Blaumann both winning three.

Hilton G beat Irlam Steel 5-4 despite a treble by David Yates while Bolton TT Club had an easy 8-1 win with Christopher Boys winning the one for the losers.

Close matches in Division Four saw Meadow Ben C beat an effective two-man Harper Brass E 5-4. Albany overcame Heaton CC E 6-3 with Richard Lynch providing the resisting treble.

Farnworth SC D beat Ladybridge C 7-2 with trebles by Benjamin and David Wyatt.

St Paul’s Peel B overturned bottom-of-the-table Meadow Hill B with Andrew Mather preventing the whitewash.
