LAST week the teams in the Premier Division did not get the big scores they have become accustomed to over the last few weeks.

Flixton CC A scraped home 5-4 against Wharton with Stephen Scowcroft trebling, while Ramsbottom A fared slightly better with a 6-3 victory against Hilton A, thanks to a treble from Michael Moir.

Nomads A beat Ladybridge A 7-2 with trebles from Charles Musa and Majid Tubasum, Radcliffe CC had a 6-3 win against Little Lever CC A with a treble from Robert Hall, and a two-man Ramsbottom B beat their own C team by the same score.

Flixton CC B outplayed Burning Desire 8-1 with Brett Haslam providing the resistance.

There were three 6-3 results in Division One which saw Farnworth Social Circle A succumb to Wingates despite consistent treble-maker John Hutchinson resisting.

Hilton B overcame Little Lever CC B by the same scoreline with Dave Andrews providing the Hilton treble, as did Nomads B against Coburg A which saw a treble for John Aberra.

Harper Brass A beat Hilton D 7-2 with Brian Hallsworth and Ray Isherwood each scoring three, Little Lever C pipped Hilton C 5-4 despite a resisting treble by Andy Morey, and an in-form Heaton A outplayed Coburg B 9-0.

In Division Two, three 7-2 scores saw Hilton E beat their own F team with a treble from John Barker, Meadow Ben A beat Harper Brass B with trebles form James Bollard and Dave Holden and Ramsbottom D overcame Ladybridge B with trebles from Martin Ormsby and Keith Howarth.

Heaton B beat their own C team despite a treble from high-flying Max Brookes, and Harper Brass C beat Top Spinners 8-1 with James Young providing the resistance.

In Division Three, 5-4 scores saw Meadow Hill A clinch their first win of the season against a two-man Irlam Steel, David Yates trebling for Irlam.

Hilton G overcame Farnworth SC B despite a treble from Martyn Garnett, and Bolton TTC won against Polonia Club thanks to a treble from Nayem Alam. Heaton CC D beat St Paul’s Peel A 7-2 thanks to a treble from David Jones, while Meadow Ben B whitewashed Walkden Methodists 9-0.

In Division Four, Hilton I beat Meadow Ben C 6-3 with a treble from Robert Shaw, and Heaton CC E beat White Eagle by the same score.

High-flying Albany had a 7-2 win against Ladybridge C with a treble from Daniel Dudley, trebles from Dave Wait and Piotr Pawlowski helped St Paul’s Peel B beat Harper Brass E 8-1, and Hilton H hammered bottom-of-the-table Meadow Hill B 9-0.
