The Avon County Closed Championships will be held on Sunday 11th November, at the WISE campus. Application forms for both the Junior and Senior events are attached. Closing date 2nd November 2018.

Alan Feltham and Ben Greene (another debutant) won a match each but were unable to win the doubles as Bathford won 26-15, with Paul Vincent contributing 3 points.
Attendees enjoyed a splendid buffet supplied by the golf club and were entertained by a topical quiz, expertly organised and refereed once again by Dennis Townsend.

Bath Invaders A were pushed all the way by Oldfield C in their KO Cup semi-final, but got the better of a 5-4 score-line thanks to a Bhargav Chandra treble and a double from Len Vowles. Sasi Anandraj registered a brace in reply, with Nick Branch and Bill Guibarra winning one apiece.
An end of season "hard bat" competition will be held on Wednesday 16th May, at St John's School, commencing at 7 pm. Cost £3.50. The competition is open to Bath league players only.
Only bats and balls provided by the league can be used.
Intended to be a fun evening.

Ensleigh B are second from bottom after losing 28-6 away to Radstock B, with Glyn Flinders (5) and Brendan Rouse earning their points. Simon Young and Paul Crocker both registered maximums for Radstock, with Jack Hier adding a further 7 points.

Dave Naismith also turned out for the C team that evening and earned 8 points, with Jon Turner and John Hunter securing maximums, as they overcame two-man Bathford E 29-9. The visitor’s points came from Tony Parr (4) and Evan Holding (2) plus two from the doubles.

Yatton Keynell A racked up maximum points in beating visiting Radstock A 30-7, with Jamie Smith, Keith Holland, and Shaun Eagles making up the undefeated threesome. Phil Ware (4) Keren Millard (2) and Dean Barmby were on the scoresheet for the away team.
Charlie Joyce scored maximum points, and Ali Pearson 6, in a losing cause as Oldfield D went down 20-16 away to Bathford A, who are well placed in mid-table, but with games in hand. Josh Kashdan-Brown (7) Albert Bolhuis (6) and Bruce Dearling (4) were on the scoresheet for the hosts.
Key Centre B hosted leaders Bath Invaders B and could only scrape together 4 points as the table toppers gained a full 30. Andy Boucher, Simon Monks, and Martyn Millard were the visitors’ unbeaten trio, while Dave Carter and Matt Timpson shared the bottom team’s points.
The Bath and District Table Tennis Association held its closed championships last week at St John’s school.

Yatton Keynell C went down 23-9 at home to Bear Flat A with only Alasdair Hulbert (6) registering any singles points. Paul Green carded another maximum for the visitors, and Paul Gibbs and Andy Steady also scored well with eight and six points respectively.
Yatton Keynell B caused an upset in the Restricted Cup, defeating current Division 1 leaders Bath Invaders B 5-3 at Yatton. Andy Boucher’s hat-trick was not enough for the visitors as Andy Purkiss (2) Joe Dukes (2) and Adam Dawes put the home team into the semi-finals once more.
Division two’s basement team Chippenham E had no answer to Yatton Keynell D in their away match and went down by thirty points to three, with Steve Rodda the only player to register. Jon Freeman, Bob Portlock, and Edward Lea were the host’s winning trio.
