Bibek Karki’s maximum on debut was decisive as Chippenhan A beat Bath Invaders A 24-9 in the top of the table battle at Langley Burrell, which saw the Wiltshire team take pole position in the premier division from their rivals. Jerry Musselwhite and Terry Parkins both added 6 points for the new leaders, with Dave Busari (6) and Len Vowles (3) responding.

Bottom team Bitton suffered another heavy defeat, going down 29-4 away to Oldfield C with Alan Papier the only player to register. Sasi Anandraj and Nick Branch both carded a full 9 points for the hosts, with Bill Guibarra contributing a further eight.

Division one leaders Bath Invaders B increased their advantage in taking the maximum 30 points from their away match against Radstock B, with Andy Boucher, Martyn Millard, and Steve Doidge the winning trio. The home team’s eight points were earned by Dan Walker (3) Mark Bennetts (3) and Wayne Button (2).

Paul Green took the honours with the full 9 points once again as Bear Flat A comfortably beat Mayfield 26-9. However, he was well supported by Pete Gibbs and Andy Steady who scored eight and six points respectively. Dave Galley (6) and Nigel Woolley (3) replied for Mayfield.

Chippenham D are romping away with division two and only surrendered 3 points to Bear Flat C on their visit to St John’s school. The leaders scored their full 30 points courtesy of Steve Deeble, Tom Griffiths, and Jim Wheeler, while Jon Turner (2) and Lucy Bowskill earned the hosts’ points.

Second placed Bathford D lost further ground on the leaders despite an excellent 25-10 home success against Radstock C. Russell Cole led the way for the victors with a fine maximum, whilst Julian Kashdan-Brown (7) and Cal Levitt (6) also scored well. Ian Pennington (8) and Steve Moss (2) were on the scoresheet for the visitors.
