Basildon 'D' avoided a whitewash in their home match against Division 2 favourites, Wickford Cricket Club, when Richard Riebold and Jenne Seibolt just got the better of Dave Norris and Richard Gill in a close, 5 set doubles.  Earlier in the match, it was plain sailing for Wickford as they took the 9 singles with the loss of only 4 sets in total.
