A crunch match at the top of the table between the two teams vying for top spot. A critical win 11-9 in the fifth for Satwant Gill against Kevin Wollen turned the match result in favour of the home side, and Satwant completed his hat-trick by overcoming Steven Chooi and Conrad Gomes. Two wins for Bill Platt plus victory in the doubles saw Basildon take the match 6-4, leaving the teams equal top on 43 points apiece.
