At the AGM held in June, the Executive Committee advised of a change in the structure of the League divisions for the season 2018/2019

The methodology to be used for the migration is explained below:

The new Premier Division will consist of ten (10) teams.  The winner of the First Division for the season 2017/2018 will join the top nine (9) Premier teams from the season 2017/2018.  The bottom three (3) teams in the old Premier division for the season 2017/2018 will have moved to the new First Division.

The new First Division will consist of ten teams.   The winner of the old First division will have moved to the new Premier Division.  The bottom three (3) teams from the old Premier division for the season 2017/2018 will have moved to the new First Division.  The bottom four (4) teams from the old First division for the season 2017/2018 will have moved to the new Second Division.

The new Second Division will consist of ten teams.  The bottom four (4) teams from the old First division for the season 2017/2018 will have moved to the new Second Division.  The bottom six (6) teams from the old Second division for the season 2017/2018 will have moved to the new Third Division.

The new Third Division will consist of ten teams.   The bottom six (6) teams from the old Second division for the season 2017/2018 will have moved to the new Third Division.  The top four (4) teams from the old Third division for the season 2017/2018 will have moved to the new Third Division.

The new Fourth Division will consist of nine teams (based upon the present number of teams entered in the Third division for the season 2017/2018).  The bottom nine (9) teams from the old Third division for the season 2017/2018 will have moved to the new Fourth Division.

The motivation behind the above changes is to cater for the increasing number of teams that wish to compete in the Barnets & District Table Tennis League.  The forthcoming season has seen two additional teams join the League which within our existing structure means we are virtually FULL.  By restructuring as detailed, your League will be able to continue to grow and, we are sure, create an even more competitive League in which to play.
