The Banbury & District Table Tennis Association are looking for organisations to provide financial support towards our youth development project.
One of the key objectives of our organisation is to get more children & young people playing and enjoying sport (table tennis) and to this end we have set up a series of coaching hubs located in various schools in the area. We provide qualified coaches to run these sessions together with all necessary equipment. (Our coaching and development programme was so successful that it was recently nominated for a prize at the Oxfordshire Sport Awards held at the Kassam Stadium.)
The most promising players from these hubs are then invited to our coaching academy which is held once a week at BGN school, Banbury. We have equipped the Academy with 14 full-sized tables together with all necessary equipment and the evening sessions held here have proven so popular that we have had to support our volunteer coaches at the Academy by appointing a paid Table Tennis England qualified coach to help drive the sessions forward.
To date all of the money required to fund this programme has come from B&D TTA members subscriptions, local fundraising and donations from local companies and charities. (These include The Hawkins Group of Companies, Whitley Stimpson, Spratt Endicott, Banbury Charities and XEL Projects Ltd.)
But - we need more your help. This year we will have a significant shortfall in the funding for our coaching and development project and, as a result, we are asking any local organisations if they would consider helping us to "close our financial gap" by making a donation towards our funds. Any amount would be genuinely appreciated and welcomed. In return, apart from our sincere gratitude, we will try to publicise your company as much as possible on our advertising, leaflets, Facebook page, League web site and League Handbook.
If any members have any suggestions for organisations we can approach, or any organisation requires more information please contact B&DTTA Secretary, Barry Hook at email@example.com or 07867 508053
