To all B&DTTA members,
Millennium Table Tennis Club are pleased to announce the first robin Aston Memorial Tournament. The first of what will become an annual event will take place at Mollington Village Hall on Saturday 25th November. Play will commence at 1:45pm, with finals and presentations around 5:30pm.
All of the details of the day and entry form are attached, but in short this will be a pairs event, with each pair being allocated one higher ranked, and one lower ranked players from the entry list. There will be lots of games for all that enter, with a consolation event as well as the main event. We are also running single point competition, which should be great fun, and is likely to spring up some surprising results.
On the day we will be running a raffle, with many great prizes already donated, and selling refreshments (tea, coffee, soft drinks, cakes etc…) all of which have been generously donated. All money raised on the day will be split equally between Millennium Table Tennis and the Katharine House Hospice.
We hope to make the day a great success so it would be great to see as many current and former league members as possible to enter, or attend the event in some capacity. Entry is free to spectators.
If there is anyone you think would be interested in playing or attending that may be former players, sponsors or anyone who knew Robin please feel free to forward this on to them.
The day has been designed with values Robin held dear in mind, so we are hoping it will be real social event, with an opportunity to play lots of table tennis in an enjoyable atmosphere, whilst raising money for a great charity.
Please feel free to advertise this on social media or display the poster at any other locations as you wish.
