In Division 2 Hanson Panthers continued to dominate this division with a 30 – 2 win over Hanson Pidgeons. Once again Andy Farmer, Dave Broomfield and James Taylor won all their three sets. Pidgeons were not flattered by this score as the games were a lot closer. Adam Shears at least managed to take a game off James and took another in the doubles when partnered by Simon Przeklasa.

A previous match saw two man Hanson Hawks lose to Hanson Panthers 12 – 24. James Taylor starred for Panthers winning his two sets, with Dave Broomfield and Andy Farmer winning one each. Dave just beat Ollie Raymond in five games but then lost to Adam Lockington in five, 10-12, 11-9, 11-13, 12-10, 11-9. Adam played well to win two sets and combined with Ollie to have an excellent doubles victory over Dave & James.

Test Valley ‘A’ lost 4 – 30 by 3D’s which keeps 3D’s in second place just ahead of Enham in this division. Nicky Downs, Jessie Yi and Marie Dyke all won three, but Jessie was tested by Ollie Day before coming through 5-11, 13-11, 11-3, 3-11, 4-11. Cameron Langdown played well to take both Jessie and Nicky to four games.

The closest match in the division was the 19 – 18 win by Hanson Falcons over Hanson Lions. This was an excellent win for Falcons, mainly thanks to three from Sarah Medland, but Jason Cullip chipped in with two and Val Fox with one. Mike Bonarius (Lions) won two and Darren Walkom one, but they did combine to win the doubles. With such a close result it was surprising that only one match went to five sets, when Val just held off Jonny Macey 6-11, 11-7, 11-6, 10-12, 11-4.

Enham lost 16 – 22 to an improving Hanson Hawks side. The reliable Pete Farmer won two with Patrick Baker and Roy Horner winning one each for Enham. However Hawks Adam Lockington and Ollie Raymond proved to be too good, with Adam winning his three sets and Ollie two. Blade Medland who played his first match for Hawks was unlucky when he went down 11-5, 6-11, 7-11, 11-4, 11-5 to Patrick. Enham have a good record in the doubles and so, not surprisingly, Pete & Roy earned a 8-11, 11-4, 10-12, 11-7, 11-9 victory over Ollie & Blade.

A late result in Division 1 saw Hanson Cougars produce a close 19 – 16 victory over Hanson ‘A’. Andy Barnes (Cougars) won three sets and Steve Harris played well to win two, but had a tough battle with Dan Geary before winning 11-9, 3-11, 11-8, 8-11, 12-10. For Hanson ‘A’ Josh White won two, with Dan and Steve Rollason winning one each.
