The provisional draws have been made for the North Open on Sunday as per the attached spreadheet.

The Table Tennis Marathon held on Saturday 7th November at the Sports Village has raised the fantastic sum of £ 3,074.40 !

The Scottish Qualifier for the World Championship of Ping Pong takes place on December 5th - entries are due in by 27th November.

The North of Scotland Open table tennis championship takes place at the Sports Village on Sunday 13th December. Let's ensure that there is a good entry, especially from local players.

There will be a fund-raising event for the ASV TT Academy on Saturday 7th November from 9am to 7pm. We are looking for your support!!!

As the season gets underway, there is still no consensus on the "best" plastic ball.

That's the leagues and fixtures set up for the forthcoming season - time to make arrangements with your first opponents next week. We have 28 teams this year, 8 in Div 1 and 10 in each of Divs 2 and 3.

The new season will commence week commencing Monday October 5th.

The final results for the season have now been recorded and incorporated into the league tables. The only adjustment required to the positions shown is in Division 2 where CTM A replace Aberdeen University Eagles as runners-up.

Following a review of the cup results to date, some players have had their handicaps revised for the cup finals taking place this week.

We were treated to 3 wonderful demonstration sessions of Aerobics TT on Friday 13th March given by Steve Rowe the creator of the idea. Read further to view video.

Aberdeen's youngster's once again do us proud with some really excellent performances during the recent Scottish National Championships.

The draw has been made for the quarter finals of this season's KO Cup. Ties take place during the week commencing 23rd March 2015.

February has been another busy month for the ASV Academy Table Tennis players, with both the East of Scotland Junior Grand Prix and the Scottish Senior Schools Championships taking place.

The draws for the quarter finals of the 3 league cup tournaments have been made - fixtures are scheduled for week commencing 2nd March 2015.

The last few matches in the Schools League have now been completed and Josef Bokedal was crowned champion, winning a convincing 96% of all games he played. Well done Josef!

England's most successful Commonwealth Games table tennis player Andrew Baggaley has said it was "unbelievable" to win the ping pong world title.

Baggaley, 31, only plays ping pong - a style of table tennis different to the Olympic format - once a year, but took the $20,000 (£13,200) top prize.

"I practiced for a month, but it's not really my sport," he told BBC Sport.

"So it feels like I've won a major. It's very unique. I can't believe it. I knew I was one of the contenders."

The Strategic Resources Schools League at the Sports Village on Mondays is reaching a climax with some great competition between the 7 to 10 year old players.
