NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING – MONDAY 18 MAY 2015

This letter is to advise all teams that the Annual General Meeting of the Association will be held on Monday 18 May 2015 at 7.30pm in Denmore Park Social Club, Lochside Road, Bridge of Don, Aberdeen.

Should anyone wish to put forward any proposals for discussion, these must be submitted to the Secretary in written form not later than Monday 4 May 2015.  Similarly nominations for the five Office Bearer positions (President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Match Secretary) should also be in the hands of the Secretary by that date - a nomination form is attached for this purpose.

The Agenda, Minutes from 2014 AGM, names of nominees for the Executive Committee and any other business to be transacted will be sent to team secretaries by email prior to the meeting.

The Committee hope that everyone is aware of the great strides which Aberdeen table tennis has been making recently – more teams in the leagues; increased coaching at ASV and in schools; new schools leagues; additional sponsorship; lots of over 50’s TT clubs throughout Aberdeen; and in particular, notable successes for our juniors in the ASV TT Academy at local and national level.

We are sure that there is potential for more development of table tennis in the area but this will not be sustainable without your help - and there are many ways in which you can assist.  Helping with admin or IT, finding sponsors, recruiting more players or coaches, helping to coach maybe once a week or helping  run events like the North Confined or Schools leagues, or just lending a hand to maintain equipment like barriers or bats for schools.  There is a wide range of large and small jobs and these are currently done by a very few people – your Committee and a few dedicated coaches.  If you are able to give some time, even in a small way, this will help maintain the fantastic momentum which is building for our sport in the Aberdeen area. 

Please let us know if you can help in any way and the AGM will be the perfect opportunity to do so.
