There was a similar situation in the match between Old England Jacks and Springwell C where Joe Muldowney completed his hat-trick with victory over Mike Hope and Lynne Herrington squared the match by defeating Alan Livingstone.
In Division Two the Tynedale derby between Matfen B and Newton B saw the home side leading 5 – 3 but they had to be content with a draw.
The young Cramlington Corinthians third division side of Adam Webster, Andrew Matfin and Jamie Hall did well against Matfen D but none of them was able to beat Mark Perrin in another drawn match.
Division four Lions’ Joe Hastings, Daniel McManus and Sree Kanakala surprised Newton C to get a draw although none of them could beat Wyn Thompson.
